Today, Lapidary aka Rock shop will be open at 9:15am until Noon. The room is located behind Ceramics on Tonto Street. Stop in to see what cool creations you can make with rocks!
Stained Glass had a banner day yesterday and will be open 9am-Noon today. They have wonderful beginner projects for individuals that are new to glass.
Tonight, The Secret Ingredient food trailer will be in pull through site 688 at 4-6:30pm. Grab dinner before or after your happy hour. Menu includes Burger meal $11, Philly Cheesesteak meal $11, Buffalo Chicken sandwich meal $11 and Shredded Beef Taquitos $10.
Check out the Gamblin’ Room at 9am this morning and see what projects the Wood Carvers are working on. All skill levels are invited to join in. Beginner projects are available for those who want to learn the art of carving. Hand. Foot & Toe is played at 9:30am and welcomes everyone to play this card game.
Hang Out room will be this afternoon 3:30-5:30pm for Darts. All players are invited to join in the fun and we do have darts you can borrow if you don’t have any of your own. Poker is played 6-9pm and anyone can come to play. We hope to see you there.
Meetings – If you are single and looking for things to do with a group, sign up in Activities and attend our brainstorming meeting in the Hang Out room on Thu. 10/28 1-2pm.
Sign Ups – Tomorrow Wed. 10/27 is the cutoff for the Progressive Beginner Crochet class that will be held every Wednesday in November. Classes are $10 each week and include pattern and instruction. Please bring your hook and yarn. The Card Making class is held the first and third Friday each month at the Ranch House. A sample of the cards you will make is in Activities along with the sign up. $10 fee for 4 cards. If you have small scissors, please bring them. Sign-ups are necessary as the instructors due put a lot of time in assembling packets and prepping for class.
We are looking for individuals who are interested in Fiber Art aka spinning with a wheel or spindle. Please sign up in Activities. Calling all RC Aviators! If you would like to get a club together or meet others with the same interest, sign up in Activities.
Clinics/Lunch Seminars – We are still taking sign up for the Walgreens Flu Vaccine Clinic which will be held on Mon. 11/8 at the Hole in the Wall 1-3pm. Several vaccines will be available and please check with your insurance on the Shingles shot as co-pays can be quite high. SkyMed will be hosting a free lunch/seminar on Tue. 11/9 at 11:30am in the Hang Out Room. Sign up in Activities before Sat. 11/05.
Wed. 10/27 – Duplicate Bridge will be played in the Gamblin’ Room 12-4pm. We do need players at all skill levels. If you want to learn, come and join us as we are happy to teach you. Bring your partner if you have one and if not, we will find one for you! Cribbage is played at 6:30pm as well as Progressive Hand & Foot.
Hang Out room has Euchre at 7pm and everyone is invited to play. We welcome new players to the game as well.
We have a Ukulele group who meets at the Ranch House, 1-3pm. If you’re a beginner or skilled musician, you are invited to join us.
We hope that you are in the process of putting together your best costume for our Halloween Happy Hour/Octoberfest that will be on Sun. 10/31, 4-6:30pm at Pool 1 Patio. Prizes will be awarded, music will be provided by Warren Young and you can purchase tasty food from The Secret Ingredient food trailer. We hope to see you there! No glass containers allowed in patio/pool/hot tub area.
