Cancellations/Closures –
The Card making class scheduled for Friday 2/18 at the Ranch House Meetin’ Room is cancelled. Class will resume on Friday 3/4.
Lapidary will not be open on Friday 2/18. Sorry for the inconvenience.
The Ranch House will be closed for resident use on Saturday 2/19, 8am-4pm. The area around the House and parking lot will be used for the event and there will be road limitations on Calamity Jane with no through traffic allowed.
Today –
No lunch today, but there will be dinner served by the Duffie Duo at the Hole in the Wall 4-6pm. Menu features Steak or chicken philly with fries or Loaded potato soup.
Tournaments –
Attention shuffleboard tournament players. Our annual shuffleboard tournament starts on Monday 2/21 at 9:30am. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early so we can start on time. Know who your partner is and how to contact them. If you are unable to play, please contact Joe or Carolyn in advance.
Hand Foot & Toe tournament will be held on Monday 2/21 at the Gamblin’ Room at 6pm and there is $1 entry fee. You must sign up at a regular day of paly of Hand Foot & Toe which are on Thursdays or Saturdays
Softball News –
The last day of Winter league play is today! Mustangs will be at the Palm Creek Field at 10:15am and the clots will play at the same field at 11:30am. Both teams share first place with 12-1 records. Go Sundance!
Later This Week –
MGN open house will be on Saturday 2/19 at the Ranch House 10am-3pm.
Sundance Sock Hop will be at the Hole in the Wall with dinner and activities beginning at 5:30pm and dance at 6:30pm. Costumes encouraged but not required. Join us for fun, contests, food, photo booths, and dance to the 50’s music provided by George Hickman. LET’S GO TO THE HOP! Tickets $5 advance $6 at the door.
Room Schedules –
Hole in the Wall has Walk exercise 9am. Line dance is scheduled for 1:30pm and there is a $2 fee. If class will not be held, we will let you know.
Art Barn will be open 9am-12pm and 1-3:45pm offering open art time. All projects you are working on are invited to join us or if you would like to see what Zentangle looks like or know more about what goes on, stop in and see us!
Hang Out Room is reserved this morning and Darts will paly at 3:30pm with Poker at 6pm.
Gamblin’ Room hosts Hand Foot & Toe at 9am and you can sign up for the tournament. Pinochle is at 1pm and Mexican Train is played at 7pm.
Ranch House Meetin’ Room has Bridge at 7pm.
New Class-
Intro to Photo Shop will be offered beginning on Saturday 2/26 at 11am. Bring your computer if you have the Photo shop program loaded. No sign up or fee needed.
More Things –
Smoke Signal articles are due in by Sunday 2/20. Drop them off or email them to sundance1activities@hotmail.com . All groups, clubs, residents, shops, or activities are encouraged to send in your news!
Room reservation forms for next season are still being accepted through the end of February. All activities, meetings, groups or private events can pick one up in Activities.
Time is running out to submit your self-nomination form to run for one of the three positions available on Town Council. Additional details are on the forms and they need to be placed in the Town Council box before Monday 2/21.
