Room News –
Join us this morning for the Round UP Meeting at the Hole in the Wall at 8:30am for an all park meeting where morning munchies and beverages are available. This morning Deron from PM-MH will be our speaker/sponsor.
Line Dance will be at 1:30pm and Bing is played at 7pm. Card sales start at 6-4:45pm and name badges are required. Please pay with smaller currency and Sundance along with Fairways is invited to play. No alcohol allowed and sorry the public is not allowed.
Gamblin’ Room will have Wood Carving at 9am and everyone who is interested is invited to join us. We have beginner projects available and many talented individuals who are very helpful. 5 Crowns will be played at 9:30am. Samba is played at 6:30pm and Pinochle is at 7pm.
SkyMed will be here for a 11:30am lunch seminar at the Hang Out Room. Darts is played at 3:30pm.
Art Barn has Beginner Mandala Dot Painting at 9:30am Sign up was required and if you can’t make it to class, please call Pam right away. Beginner Watercolor class will be at 6pm this evening and sign up was also required. If you are unable to attend tonight, please contact Jane right away as there is a wait list.
Hardanger is held at the Ranch House Meetin’ Room at 1pm. Anyone who works on charted patterns is very welcome.
Activity Notes –
Today is the last day to sign up and purchase tickets for the Valentines Day dinner which will be on Saturday 2/12 at the Hole in the Wall. A four course meal is planned and dinner only tickets are $13 each. VIP tickets are $23 each and does include dinner and show entry. Take out dinner time is 3:30-4pm and dinner service begins at 4-5:30pm. Magician Eric Gilman will be here performing magic for all and tickets for his show are $12 or $13 at the door. Performance begins at 7pm.
Caywood Cotton Farm Tour is planning a little something special for attendees on the Monday 2/14 tour. Payment ($15) is due at time of sign up and Wednesday 2/9 is the deadline. This a great tour and very informational about the agriculture in Arizona.
Town Council nomination forms are available in Activities. You nominate yourself and return the form before Monday 2/21. Voting is on Tuesday 3/1 right after the Round Up Meeting! Additional details are on the forms.
Sundance/Fairways Quilt Show and Quick Draw Auction will be held on Saturday 2/26, 9am-3pm at Sundance. This show is in conjunction with Fiesta Grande’s show. The Hole in the Wall will feature beautiful displays of many quilts. The Hang Out Room will feature the Quick Draw Auction where you can purchase tickets for a chance to win handmade items. Lunch will be available for purchase at the gazebo with dining on the patio at Pool 1.
We are looking for a decorating committee for our Sundance Sock Hop that will be at the Hole in the Wall on Saturday 2/19 with doors open at 5pm with food being available for purchase! Tickets are on sale for $5. We need your ideas and ask that you sign up in Activities and plan on attending a meeting at the Ranch House Meetin’ Room at 2pm on Friday 2/11. Let’s go to the Hop!
Sundance Softball News –
Even with windy the conditions yesterday our two teams, the Mustangs and Colts play ball with the Mustangs defeating the Colts in 6 innings 30-19. Both teams are now 10-1 and share the lead in the league standings with 3 games left to be played. Next games are Thursday 2/10 at Palm Creek Field with the Mustangs playing the Mission Royale Titans at 11:30am. The Sundance Colts take on the Robson Ranch Rangers at 12:45pm. We hope to see you in the stands and thank you for your support!
Wednesday News –
The Sundance Motorcycle Riders will be riding on Wednesday 2/9 with kickstands up at 10am at the Ranch House parking lot. They are looking at doing a 225 mile trip that will include travels to Oracle, Winkelman, Superior and back to Sundance.
Something Else To Do-
We have Hale Theatre tickets available for the Monday 3/14 performance of Daddy Longlegs at 4pm. Tickets are $32 each and there isn’t a bad seat in the house!
Silver Creek Band will be here on Saturday 2/26 6:30-9:30pm playing great dance music featuring country, rock and blues. Tickets are $10 each
We have added a free event for Sunday 2/27 at the Sundance 1 storage area. A Chain saw carving demo by Marty Smith will be at 1pm. Bring your chairs and watch him create awesome carvings!
The Jerry and Judy Show tickets are available for $10 and will be here performing their 60’s show on Friday 3/4. They offer light comedy and Jerry is a fabulous guitar player. They will perform 7-8:30pm at the Hole in the Wall.
