Pool 2 will be closed all day on Thursday 12/16 for a painting project. Please adjust your calendars accordingly.
Activities –
Smoke Signal articles do need to be in the office by Monday, 12/20. Email is fine to sundance1activities@hotmail.com . All groups, residents, and rooms are encouraged to submit news.
We have had several requests to have another golf cart parade! Get your lights on your cart or bike and join us this Thursday, 12/16 at 5:30pm at the Ranch House parking lot. Please do not assemble on the streets as it does create a traffic hazard. Dress for the weather as we will roll on around 6pm. Let’s all share the spirit of Christmas!
Chair Massage is sold out at this time. No worries, she will be here in January!
Last call to sign up for the SkyMed lunch seminar on Tuesday, 1/14 at 11:30am in the Hang Out Room.
Time is running out to purchase Sundance Christmas Dinner tickets. They are $12 each and do include table service, meal, dessert and drink. You can bring your own beverage if you prefer. Social at 3:30pm with dinner at 4pm at the Hole in the Wall. We do hope you will join us.
New Year’s Eve tickets are on sale in Activities! Join us as we have a wonderful dinner and dance the year away to 3 Window Coupe. Check out their FB site at 3wcband. Dance tickets only are $15 each and includes party favors. Dinner will be prepared by dining with the Duffies and you will have your choice of pot roast or a ½ chicken baked. Also included are potatoes, carrots, bacon Brussel sprouts, cake and beverage. Dinner only is $22 each and the VIP ticket which includes dinner, dance and party favors is $32 each.
We have tickets to the Hale theatre Tag-Along to Chaps which will be on Friday 1/7 at 4pm. Tickets are $32 each and purchase is needed by Monday 12/20.
If you’re interested in having a wood working shop at Sundance or Bocce Ball courts, come in and sign our form. We also have an activity survey to help us plan for next season.
MASA will be here on Saturday, 1/8 at 11am at the Hole in the Wall with a lunch seminar. Sign up is in Activities.
Ballots for our community decorating contest are due in the Activity office by Saturday, 12/18 at 3pm. Prizes will be rewarded so take a ride and vote for your favorite!
Sundance Church will have a candle light service on Friday, 12/24 at 6:30pm at the Hole in the Wall. All Sundance guests are invited to join us at the service and the candles are no flame.
Casino Night will be at the end of January and volunteers plus gently used donations are requested. Sign up in Activities or drop donations off on the porch in Sundance 2 # 62.
We will have Sundance caroling on Sunday 12/19. If you would like to join us, meet at 5:30pm in front of Activities. We will depart at 6pm.
Today at the Hole in the Wall Walk Exercise is at 9am, Senior Stretch is at 10:30am. Jammers will be at 6:30pm.
Art Barn has all painting projects at 1pm. If you paint with watercolor, acrylics, or oil, please bring in your projects.
Gamblin’ Room has Mah Jongg played at 10am, Bridge is at 1pm and Hand foot & Toes is at 6:30pm. There will be two tournaments this season and you must sign up at regular play in order to participate.
Catus Needles will be in the Hang Out Room at 10am working on their knitting and crochet creations. At 1pm Crafty Ladies gather to work on a variety of crafts and at 7pm Ping Pong is played.
Ranch House Meetin’ Room is reserved 10am-1pm.
Today Shuffleboard is played at 9:30am at the courts. 0.50 per day to play and we welcome all skill levels. Tai Chi will be at 10am at Pool 1 patio and Water Volley is played at Pool 2 on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Gourd Shop has their calendar available in the Activity office and Pickleball as well.
Sign up is required for all classes as it helps the instructor prepare materials. If you sign up and are unable to make it to class, please let them know. We have sign ups for Cardmaking that will be on Friday, 12/17 at the Ranch House. Intermediate/Advanced Beginner Mandala Dot Painting is in the Art Barn at 1pm on Friday as well.
