News Notes-
Country Store is TODAY 9am-Noon. Breakfast (8-11am) and Lunch (11am-1:30pm) served by the Duffies at the Hole in the Wall. Breakfast menu Biscuits & Gravy $5 Pancakes & Sausage $5 Hash brown bowl $6. Lunch has Chicken pot pie $10 Chef’s choice salad $8 or with chicken $10. Lunch meals include choice of lemonade or ice tea. Gluten free and vegetarian options available.
Morning coffee group meets at the Hang Out room 6-8am Monday, Wednesday -Saturday. $1 per cup.
Activity Reminder –
With the increase of room use, please be respectful and not arrive more than 15 minutes before your scheduled time. Also make sure that you do not stay past your end time as this does affect the Clean Team schedules.
Room Schedules Friday 2/4 –
Gamblin’ Room offers Wood carving at 9am. Feel free to stop in and try out a beginner project. Samba will play at 1pm. Pegs & Jokers is at 7pm.
Hang Out will have Jammers practice at 8:30am An extended practice is at 11:30am. Crafty Ladies will be working on their favorite crafts at 1pm.
Ranch House Meetin’ Room will have a Cardmaking class at 1pm. If you can’t make it, please contact Sue right away as there is a waiting list. Please noted that the Friday 2/18 class is cancelled and will resume on Friday 3/4.
Saturday 2/4 Schedule –
Art Barn will have a Beginner Mandala Dot class at 9:30am . Sign up was required and if you are unable to attend, please contact Pam as there is a waiting list. Fee is $10.
Photo Club will meet at 9am on at the Gamblin’ Room. Mah Jongg is played at 1pm. Hand Foot & Toe is at 6:30pm and Pinochle is at 7pm.
Hang Out Room has the first potlucks starting with MT.-WY.-N. & S. Dakota at 11:30am-1:30pm. Alaska will be at 4-5:30pm. Bunco is played at 7pm.
Poppy Harpman & the Storm https://poppyharpman.com will be playing here at the Hole in the Wall at 6:30pm! He is excited for his band to play here at Sundance with very danceable R & B music! Tickets are $10 or $11 at the door. Let’s all come out and enjoy a great evening . BYOB and snack are welcome. Soda and water available for purchase.
Sunday 2/6 –
Church services are at 8:30am at the Hole in the Wall and everyone is welcome to attend. Iowa potluck will be at 3:30pm.
Gamblin’ Room will have Texas Hold’em at 4pm and Mexican Train at 7pm.
Hang Out Room will have Trio practice at 1pm and Tournament Texas Hold’em at 6pm.
Bridge is at the Ranch House at 7pm.
Sign Ups and Such –
We have a wide variety of sign-up sheets in Activities. They range from lunch seminars, to farm tours to meals, events, and volunteering here at Sundance. We can’t leave out petitions or nomination forms. Stop in and see us for more info!
Depending on the wind Shuffleboard may play at 9:30am, Water volleyball at pool 2 at 1pm and the RC Racers at 1pm Ladies! Sign up for the Powder Puff Race on Wednesday 2/9 at 1pm at the track. More info in the Activity office.
Softball News –
Both Sundance teams had another successful day on the ball diamond. The Sundance Mustangs defeated the Robson Ranch Rangers 28-27 with a comeback sin in the bottom of the 7th inning. In their second game of the double header, they defeated the Fiesta Grande Scorpions 22-11. The Sundance Colts defeated the Mission Royale Titans 20-3 in 5 innings. Both teams currently are leading the league standings with the Colts 10-0 and Mustangs 9-1. Next game is Monday 2/7 where both Sundance teams play each other at 9am at the Palm Creek Field. Come on out and see both teams in action and cheer them on!
We’re planning a Sundance Sock Hop and are looking for a decorating committee and ideas for the event. Come to Activities to sign up and plan on attending the meeting on Friday 2/11 at the Ranch House Meetin’ Room at 2pm. Let’s Go To the Hop!!
