Saturday Fun! –
Sundance Sock Hop will start with events at 5:30pm with food and activities. The dancing starts at 6:30pm at the Hole in the Wall. Come and enjoy a burger or hot dog basket , root beer float, popcorn or ice cream! Dance the night away to the music of the 50”s that will played by George! Costumes encouraged but not required to enjoy the evening. There will be contests, king & queen crowning and more! LET’S GO TO THE HOP !
MGN Sales will be hosting an open house at the Ranch House beginning at 10am-3pm. The Ranch House will be used for this event 8am-4pm (closed to resident use) and there will road closures and restrictions. Please use caution when in that area. SD2 dumpster will not be accessible during this time. SD2 mailbox area will be available. If you’re attending the event please do not park on the streets or in front of resident’s homes. There are designated parking areas on Calamity Jane or between Ranch House and Pickleball courts. See you there!
Missouri Potluck will be held at 3:30pm in the Hang Out room with set up at 3pm. Bunco will be at 7pm.
Photo Club will meet at 9am in the Gamblin’ Room Mah Jongg 1pm Hand Foot & Toe 6:30pm (accepting tournament sign ups) Pinhole at 7pm
Sunday Events –
Hole in the Wall – Sundance Church 8:30am and everyone is invited to join us. Hart Ranch potluck is at 11am -2pm with set up at 10:30am. Softball will have their gathering at 4:30 – 8pm.
Hang Out has Trio practice 1pm Tournament Texas Hold’em 6pm
Gamblin’ room has Texas Hold’em 4pm Mexican Train 7pm
Ranch House Meetin’ room offers Bridge at 7pm
Tournament News –
Sign up for the Hand Foot & Toe tournament during regular play days. Monday 2/21 at the Gamblin’ Room the tournament will begin at 6pm. $1 entry and if you are unable to play, please contact Jim M.
Shuffleboard will start tournament play on Monday 2/21 at 9:30am. Players please arrive 10-15 minutes early so we can start on time. Know who your partner is and how to contact them. If you can’t play, please let Joe & Carolyn know in advance.
Closed or cancelled – Lapidary is closed on Friday 2/18. Card making class is cancelled for today 2/18 and class will resume on Friday 3/4.
Western Days is fast approaching and we are looking for Coordinators for a few events. Stop in at Activities as we will be having a meeting early next week.
We have a survey in progress to see if individuals would want to be on the committee to put together a Sundance picture directory for the 2022/2023 season. You can also state if you would/would not be interested in purchasing one in the estimated amount of $15-$25. Let us know your thoughts!
Smoke Signal articles are due in on Sunday 2/20. If you have news to share about your club, group, personal, meetings, or shops, please drop off in Activities or email to sundance1activities@hotmail.com. If you don’t submit them, we can’t print them.
Other News – Sundance Blood drive will he held on Thursday 3/3 at the Hole in the Wall 8:30am-12:30pm Appointment times are filling quickly so make sure you get signed up. SkyMed will be here for a lunch seminar on Tuesday 3/8 at 11:30am in the Hang Out room. Sign up in Activities. Hearing Life will be at the Ranch House on Friday 3/11 doing screenings. We have appointment times to fit your schedule.
We have tickets for Silver Creek Band who will be playing dance music on Saturday 2/26 and the Jerry and Judy Show will be entertaining us with light comedy and great guitar playing on Friday 3/4. All tickets are $10.
Softball News – Both Sundance Softball teams finished the Winter season league play with victories tpday. The Sundance Mustangs defeated the Palm Creek Razorbacks 19-3 and the Sundance Colts defeated the Palm Creek Razorbacks 22-8. Both teams finished tied for first in the league with 13 wins and one loss each. The Post season tournament begins on Monday February 21st. The Sundance Mustangs will play at 10:15 AM at the Robson Ranch Field against either the Mission Royal Titans of the Palm Creek Bison. The Sundance Colts will play at 11:30 AM at the Palm Creek Field against the Robson Ranch Rangers. Thanks to all the Sundance supporters who came out to today’s games, you are greatly appreciated.
