Sundance Friday!

Sundance 1 water will be shut off 8am – 2pm.  We are hoping that the repairs go smoothly for the contractor team.

Please note the following Activity rooms will be closed: Ceramics, Lapidary, Stained Glass.  All other scheduled activities will be available and Guests be aware that no bathrooms will be operational.  Please shower at home before coming to your Pool exercise classes. Portable facilities are available if needed during this time.  The Ranch House and bathrooms by Pool 2 will be operational.  Participate at your own discretion.

Coordinators, Activity Groups, and residents are encouraged to get your articles in to the Activity office by Saturday, 11/20 for the December Smoke Signal.  Thank you to all who have sent in theirs in already!

If you have tickets for Mary Poppins,  please leave enough travel time to get to your destination. In Activities we do have a map that will keep you off of I-10 and is an easy drive to Hale Theatre.

RC Racers we will be doing track maintenance this morning at 9:30am.

The Secret Ingredient food trailer will be here 11am-1:30pm today at pull through site 688.

Rooms –

Art Barn –  The Beginner Mandala Dot Painting class will be at 1pm.  Sign up for this class was required.

Gamblin’ Room has Wood Carving at 9am, 1pm Samba, and at 7pm Pegs & Jokers.

Hang Out Room -Jammers are practicing at 8:30am and Crafty Ladies are at 1pm.

Hole in the Wall –  Walk Exercise at 9am and Senior Stretch is at 10:30am.

Ranch House Meetin’ Room –  Card Making class at 1pm and there are seats available. $10 for 4 cards that you create and personalize.

Shuffleboard is played at 9:30am today.  Water Volleyball is played at 1pm in Pool 2.

We have raffle tickets for the Sundance/Fairways Veterans group.  Stop by Activities and see the beautiful quilt, beaded bracelet, blanket and stained-glass picture. Tickets are $5 for 7 or $1 each.  Winners announced Tuesday, 12/21.

The Angel Tree is up in Activities and the committee is looking for donations of wrapped Christmas candy, tape, and bows.  Pick an Angel and drop off donations in Activities. You are not obligated to purchase everything on their wish list.

We have our food donation box available for anyone who would like to donate boxed or canned goods to the local food pantry.  Help those who are less fortunate.

If you are an avid hiker, we need a Coordinator!  Several interested individuals are looking for a group of hikers to explore the area with.  Stop in at Activities.

Gourd Shop will be open Thanksgiving week 11/22-26 for open sessions.  Finish your project or start a new one and no need to sign up. We have a monthly calendar posted in the shop and in Activities. We will be closed on Thanksgiving, 11/25.  Beginner class will start on Monday, 11/29 and sign up is required. Your project will run $10-$12 and room rate is $1 per day. We have several choices of projects and we will show you how to cut, clean, sand and wood burn before you start decorating your creation.  We hope to see you there.

The Sundance Mustangs lost a hard-fought game in the bottom of the 6th inning with a 16-15 loss to the Robson Ranch Renegades.  Next game is Tuesday, 11/23 at 11:30am at the Palm Creek Field against Fiesta Grande Scorpions.
