News Notes –

Sundance/Fairways Veterans and guests March meeting will  at the transition center in Coolidge on Monday 3/14.  Please sign up at Sundance Activity office as we will tour the facility located at 5497 W McCartney in Coolidge.  We will meet at 7:30am in front of the Activity office for carpooling.  If you have questions, contact Boomer 307-272-5630.

Ceramics, Lapidary, and Stained Glass are open tonight 6:8:30pm.

Softball News –

On Monday both Sundance teams advanced to the semi-finals with wins!  The Mustangs defeated the Palm Creek Bison 15-3 and the Colts ran past the Robson Ranch Rangers 19-7.  Thursday 2/24 both teams will play at the Palm Creek field.  Mustangs will play at 9am against the Fiesta Grande Scorpions and the Sundance Colts will play the Palm Creek Diamondbacks at 10:15am.  The winners of the two semi-final games will then play in the Winter League Championship game at 11:30am.  We are hoping that it will be both Sundance teams!  Thank you for all of your support!

Reminders –

The Sundance/Fairways Quilt show will be on Saturday 2/26 9am-3pm.  Please note that the Hang Out Room and Hole in the Wall will be closed to all activities on Friday 2/25.  No food or drink will be allowed in the rooms on Saturday.  Lunch will be available for purchase at the gazebo area of pool 1 and dining will be on the patio.  Menu Choice hamburger or brat w/chips $12  Cookies Oatmeal $2 Chocolate chip $1, Ice cream $2

Gatherings/Potlucks –

Dessert Theater will have a wrap up tonight at the Hole in the Wall at 6:15-10pm.  Shuffleboard potluck will be on Sunday 2/27 with set up at 11am and the event 11:30am-3pm.  Set up for the WA-OR-ID-CA-NV potluck is at 4pm and the event is at 4:40-6:30pm.    Chainsaw carving demo will be done by Marty at the Sundance 1 storage at 1pm on the 27th!  Bring a comfy chair and watch him take wood and transform it into art!  No fee or sign up needed.

Thursday 2/24 The Shamrock Farm tour Tag-along will leave the park at 12pm.  Your event begins at 12:30pm.  Their address is 40034 W Clayton Rd, Stanfield, AZ 85172.  The second tour has sold out as well.

Classes –

At 9am this morning at the art Barn the Beginner Zentangle Inspired Art class will be held.  If you are unable to attend, please contact Nancy right away.

The Beginner’s Watercolor class on Tuesday 3/15 is full and a waiting list is available in the Activity office. The class on Sunday  3/20 session still has seats available, fee is $10.    A Photo Shop class will be held in the Gamblin’ Room on Saturday 2/26 at 11am.  No sign up or fee needed.  Please bring your laptop with the program installed.

Outdoor Fun – Shuffleboard tournament continues today at 9:30am, Tai Chi is at Pool 2 patio at 10am, Water volleyball is at 1pm at Pool 2 and the RC Racers are at the track at 1pm.  Pickleball has different play scheduled and all are subject to weather conditions.  Tai Chi will be held unless there is rain.

Hole in the Wall – 9am Walk Exercise, 10:30am senior Stretch, Lunch 11am-1:30pm, Dessert Theater Wrap up 6:15pm.

Gamblin’ Room – 1pm Mah Jongg, 6:30pm Cribbage and Progressive Hand & Foot

Ranch House – 3:30pm -8 pm  Reserved

Tickets for Silver Creek band for our dance on Saturday 2/26 at 6:30pm at the Hole In the Wall are available in Activities for $10  or $11 at the door. Should be a great night of music from country to rock and more.  BYOB and snacks are encouraged, water and soda available for purchase.  See you there!

Lapidary has a raffle of several items on display in the Activity office.  Stop in and check out the rock clock, shar tooth earrings and three pendants that you can win!  Tickets are $1 each or 7/$5.
