Marvy Monday Sundance!

News Notes –

Attention all Fun Loving Folks!  We are planning a Sundance Sock Hop for Saturday 2/19!  We are giving you ample time to work on your costumes for this event.  We are looking a Decorating Committee to brainstorm ideas and help transform the Hole in the Wall!  If you are interested in this challenge, sign up in Activities before Thursday 2/10 and plan on joining us for a meeting on Friday 2/11 at 2pm at the Ranch House!  Let’s take a step back in time and have an evening of fun, food and music from the 50’s!

Activity Notes –

A big thank you to the small, but mighty group that attended the Poppy Harpman and the Storm dance on Saturday night!  The band didn’t disappoint and if you didn’t attend, you missed some great R & B music which is a “first” for Sundance!

Tuesday 2/8 is the deadline to sign up for the Valentin’s Day Dinner and Show which will be held on Saturday 2/12 at the Hole in the Wall.  Dinner only tickets are $13 each and take out is 3:30-4pm only.  Dinner service will be 4-5:30pm  Gluten free options will be available for the 4 course meal that offers appetizer crab cake, garden salad, main course of choice Chicken or Shrimp Alfredo with asparagus and garlic bread or stuffed pork tenderloin topped with cranberry chutney, garlic mashed potatoes and season asparagus.  The VIP package includes your meal and entry to magician Eric Gilman show $23 each.  If you wish to attend the show only, tickets are $12 each /$13 at the door.

Room reservations forms for the 2022/2023 season are available in Activities.  You have all month to complete and return them for your event. This does apply to all card games, events, meetings, and private use of the rooms.

Softball reminder that the team will be playing each other today at 9am at the Palm Creek Field.  We hope to see you there and supporting both teams!

Depending on the wind, Shuffleboard is played at 9:30am and water volleyball is at Pool 2 at 1pm.  RC Racers are at the track at 1pm.

Room & Shop News –

Gamblin’ Room will have Mah Jongg at 10am, Bridge is at 1pm, and Hand foot and Toe is played at 6:30pm.  In order to participate in the tournament on Monday 2/21 you must sign up during regular play days.

Hang Out room will have the Cactus Needles working on community projects at 10am and Crafty Ladies will be doing a variety crafts at 1pm.  Ping Pong is played at 7pm.

Walk Exercise will be at the Hole in the Wall at 9am and Senior Stretch will be at 10:30am.  Musical review practice is at 12pm and Jammers will play at 6:30pm.

Attention painters!  Come to the Art Barn at 1pm with your projects and let’s paint and share ideas.  It doesn’t matter which paint you use, come and join or stop in to learn and see what we are working on.

Lapidary is selling raffles tickets for a rock clock or a pair of shark tooth earrings.  7/$5 or %+$1 each .  Stop in at Activities to view the items and purchase tickets.

Tickets and Tag-Alongs –

The Tag-Along to Caywood Farms has seating available.  This will be on Monday 2/14 and the owner Nancy is planning something special for us.  Limit is 30 and fee is $15 payable at time of sign up and deadline is Wednesday 2/9

Silver Creek Band will be here on Saturday 2/26 at 6:30pm performing Country, blues, and rock for us to dance to.  Tickets are $10 or $11 at the door.

We have Hale Theatre tickets available for the Monday 3/14 performance of Daddy Long Legs at 4pm.  $32 each and if you have never been to the Theatre there isn’t a bad seat in the house!

Tuesday 2/8 –

Rzr Riders will be meeting at the McDonald’s in Florence at 8:30am.  13 rigs went out on the 50 mile ride last Tuesday.  We hope you will join us!

The next Mandala Dot Painting class will be on Tuesday 2/8 at 9:30am at the Art Barn.  Sign up was required and if you can’t make it to the class, please contact Pam as there is a waiting list.

Open House –

MGN Sales will be having an open house on Saturday 2/19 at the Ranch House and needs volunteers to help in various areas during the day.  Sign up is in Activities.
