It’s Monday and Marvelous at Sundance!

We hope everyone had a great weekend!  We have a lot of info to share with you for this week!

TODAY –  Walgreens will be here for the Flu Vaccine Clinic beginning at 1pm at the Hole in the Wall.  This is a walk-in clinic until 3pm today.  Please bring your INSURANCE CARDS to the event.  As noted previously due to insurance challenges they as that you come into the store for your pneumonia and shingles injections.  They will confirm that your insurance will cover those two vaccines for you.

Radio controlled car racing has started at the  Sundance 1 Raceway. This hobby is challenging and fun!  We race every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday staring at 1:30pm. You can also see racers at the track practicing and tuning much of the time between race session.  We race 1/10 scale cars. Everyone races Traxx Rustler cars and they can be purchased at hobby shops, online or possibly from one of our racers.  Everyone is invited to stop by the track and learn more about the cars, take a test drive and discuss what is needed to get started.

Stained Glass is pleased to announce that they will be open 4 full day this week.  Stop by the shop on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday to learn more about this art.

Lapidary aka the Rock Shop will be open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings.  They are also wanting to know if anyone would be interested in working in the shop on Wednesday evening, 6-8pm.  If you are please come to Activities to sign up.

The Art Barn will be open for all painting projects, 1-3:45pm.  We have also added a Beginner Mandala Dot Painting Class for Monday, 11/15,  9-11am and on Friday, 11/19 1-3:30pm.  Sign up is required and class size is limited.  Come to the Activity office to sign up for which day works for you!

Gamblin’ Room will have Mah Jongg played at 10am, Bridge at 1pm and Hand Foot & Toe at 6:30pm.

Hang Out has our Veterans Meeting at 9:30am.  All branches of service are invited and encouraged to attend.   Crafty Ladies will be working on projects at 1pm.  Any craft is welcome including knitting, scrap booking, diamond art or what ever craft you are working on.  We love to exchange ideas and have  a good laugh.  Ping Pong is back on the schedule for 7pm tonight. We have the equipment and welcome everyone to join us!

Hole in the Wall has Walk Exercise at 9am, Senior Stretch at 10:30am.  Let’s get moving and have fun!

Organized play in the Billiards room will be at 9am.  We will play again on Thursday.  Women and men are encouraged to join us.

Cactus Needles will be in the Ranch House Meetin’ Room working on their charity projects, 10am-12pm.

Shuffleboard is played at 9:30am today.  50 cents for the day to play and all are welcome to join us.

Tickets – We have tickets available for A Christmas Carol at the Hale Theatre on Saturday, 12/11 for the 2pm performance.  Tickets are $44 each.

Dance – Our first dance will be this Saturday on 11/13 at 7pm in the Hole in the Wall.  JC & Laney will be performing their high energy, acoustic rock for us.  Tickets are $10 each and you can bring your beverage and snacks. Soda and  water will be available for purchase and ice will be available.

Sundance Solos will be having their own Tag-Along on Saturday, 11/13.  Please meet in front of Activities at 11am as we will be attending the Artsy Yard Tour In Casa Grande and we will then have lunch.  If you’re single, we invite you to join us!

If you’re interested in learning Origami, we encourage you to sign up so we can assemble a beginner’s class.  Sign up and samples are in Activities.

Hearing Life screening appointments have filled up quickly.  We are checking with them to see if we can open more times up for Friday afternoon.  Thank you to everyone for your interest.

We have a Park Ambassador that is available to give park tours to anyone interested.  This is a great opportunity for our new guests to learn about Sundance and where things are and what happens in rooms.  Sign up in Activities!
