Wow! February is here and we have many things for you to do!
News Notes –
Now is the time to fill out the Town Council form to offer suggestions/complaints as they will be meeting on Wednesday 2/2 at the Ranch House Meetin’ room at 9am. Forms must be signed and include your site in order to be reviewed by the Council. You can also pick up the nomination for a position on the Town Council. We have three positions open and nomination forms must be placed in the box before Monday 2/21. Voting will be on Tuesday 3/1 following the Round Up Meeting!
The Secret Ingredient food trailer will be here today. They do plan on being here next Tuesday.
Tai Chi is still on break and hopes to be back in two weeks.
Tuesday 2/1 –
If you have signed up for the Beginner Mandala Dot Painting class it is today at the Art Bard at 9:30am. If you are unable to attend, please contact Pam immediately as there is a waiting list.
Round Meeting Up is at 8:30am at the Hole in the Wall. Come and enjoy morning munchies and beverage while learning about what is or will be going on in the park. All guests/residents are encouraged to attend. We have door prizes too!
Line dance will be in the Hole in the Wall at 1:30pm and there is a $2 fee. Bingo is played on/or around 7pm with card sales at 6-6:45pm. Name badges are required, small bills for purchases are encouraged and Sundance and Fairways are invited to play. Sorry no public or alcohol is allowed.
Rzr Riders will be meeting in Florence at the McDonald’s at 8:30am. If you are interested in learning more about the group, stop in at Activities as contact info is on the board.
Hang Out Room is reserved for Management at 9am-12pm. Darts is played at 3:30pm.
Gamblin’ Room will have Wood Carving at 9am and if you would like to try this art, we do have beginner projects for you. Many talented individuals are in the group and they love sharing their skills. 5 Crowns is played at 9:30am, Samba is played at 6:30pm and Pinochle is at 7pm.
Ranch House Meetin’ Room offers Hardanger at 1pm and anyone working on charted patterns are encouraged to join us.
Bowlin Pin shuffleboard is played at 9:30am today.
Wednesday 2/2 –
Pickleball has scheduled play Monday – Friday and it is posted at the courts and in the Activity office. Please note that our meeting will be held at the courts at 4pm instead of in the Gamblin’ Room We will also meet in March at the courts as well. Beginners is held on Thursdays at 11am and Fridays have Novice play on Fridays at 11am.
Dining with Duffies will be serving 11am-1:30pm at the Hole in the Wall. Menu is posted in Activities and on bulletin boards. Menu will include baked or Fried Chicken, macaroni and cheese and cabbage for $12. Chef choice salad $8 add chicken $10. Choice of offered beverage included. Ice cream is also available at $2 with five different flavors available.
Softball –
The Sundance Colts defeated their opponent 18-6 in six innings on Monday. The Mustangs had a bye on Monday. Both teams will be in action on Thursday 2/3 with the Sundance Mustangs in a double header at the Robson Ranch Field. Starting at 9am they play the Robson Ranch Rangers and then will play at 10:15am the Fiesta Grande Scorpions. The Colts will be at the Palm Creek Field at 12:45pm playing the Mission Royale Titans. Come on out and cheer us on and we do appreciate our fans and support!
Other News –
MGN Sales will be hosing an Open House on Saturday 2/19 the Ranch House. Volunteers are needed for the event so stop in at Activities to see what may interest you.
Aluminum cans be dropped off at site 171 in Sundance 1 and all proceeds go the Sundance/Fairways Vets. Plastic bottles ( # 1 only please ) can be dropped off at site #19 in Sundance 2. It is helpful to remove labels and caps.
The Sundance Motorcycle Riders will meet at 10am at the Ranch House Wednesday 2/2 for a ride to Goldfields Ghost Town outside of Apache Junction. There are several shops, a few restaurants and other unique things to see and do.
We’re having a Sock Hop and are looking for a decorating committee. Please stop in at Activities and leave your name and number NOTE that the time on the calendar will be adjusted to earlier in the evening.
