News Notes-
When leaving an event, do not drive through unoccupied sites. You could hit something or when you come out into traffic you could encounter another vehicle who not expecting you to be there.
If you see a restroom or any other park facility that could use attention, please contact a park staff member right away so we can address the concern promptly.
Floor maintenance will be done at the Hole in the Wall on Thursday 1/27. The hall will be closed at 3:30pm and locked for the balance of the evening. The Laundry Room will also be closed beginning at 7pm on Thursday for floor maintenance too. Please adjust your schedules accordingly.
Please be mindful of your room reservation time. Do not arrive more than 15 minutes ahead of schedule and be sure that your event ends at the time noted on calendars. When you over stay in a room, this affects other park teams from doing their job. If you pull out more tables than what may already be up, you must clean and sanitize them and put them away. Always return the room as you found it.
There is a morning coffee 6-8am in the Hang Out Room on Monday and Wednesday through Friday mornings. Bring your own beverage or pay a $1. Come and enjoy a bit of morning social time!
Dining with the Duffies will be serving lunch and breakfast this week at the Hole in the Wall!
Wednesday 1/26- 11am-1:30pm Chili Dog and Fries $8 or Egg Salad Sandwich w/chip $8
Thursday 1/29 – 11am-1:30pm Meatloaf w/Mashed potatoes and green beans $10 or Cobb salad $8
Friday 1/28 – 11am-1:30pm Catfish, fires and hush puppies $12 Shrimp and grits $10
Saturday 1/29 – 8-1:30pm Chef’s choice omelet & hash browns $8 Biscuits & gravy $5 Lunch served at 11am Pepper steak with rice $10. All meals include choice of beverage.
Town Council nominations forms are located on the counter in Activities. There are three positions that will be open and yes you can nominate yourself for one of the positions. Specific details are on the forms and everyone who is paying rent for at least 5 months is encouraged to fill out a form. This does apply to all of the Sundance community.
On Saturday 2/19 MGN Sales will being hosting an Open House and they are asking for volunteers for this event. There are several opportunities and there is a detailed sign-up sheet in Activities.
Shop News –
Gourd Shop has been extremely busy and we want to make sure that we provide assistance to all who have projects they are working on. With that being said we have to rearrange our room use schedule. Please come to Activities to sign up on the days that you want to be in the shop.
Visit the Stained Glass shop and check out the beautiful picture on display. Tickets can be purchased in the shop during their business hours. $5 for 7 or $1 each.
Lapidary is raffling off a rock clock or a pair of shark tooth earrings. They are on display in Activities and tickets are $1 each or 7 for $5.
Outdoor Fun! –
Shuffleboard will be played at 9:30am and the fee is 0.50 for the day. Water Volleyball will be playing at 1pm at Pool 2. RC Racers will take the track at 1pm today. Ladies make sure that you sign up in Activities for the Powder Puff race that will be on Wednesday 2/9 at 1pm. For more info contact Marc at 204-746-5098.
Sundance Softball teams will be playing at Palm Creek Field today starting at 10:15am and the second game is at 11:30am. Come on out and cheer us on!
Pickleball has their scheduled posted in Activities and at the courts. Beginning Friday 1/28 at 11am Call will be conducting Novice Pickleball. We also have Beginners Pickleball every Thursday at 11am.
Rooms –
Art Barn will have painting at 1pm. It doesn’t matter if you paint with oils, watercolors, or acrylic you are welcome to join us.
Gamblin’ Room has Mah Jongg at 10am, Bridge at 1pm, and at 6:30am Hand Foot & Toe is played. You can sign up for their February tournament during regular play days.
Hang Out Room has Cactus Needles at 10am, Crafty Ladies at 1pm and Ping Pong is at 7pm.
Hole in the Wall has Walk Exercise 9am, Senior Stretch at 10:30am. Musical Review show practice is at 12pm and Jammers will be at 6:30pm.
