Thank You Veterans

On behalf of the Sundance community, we extend our sincere appreciation to all Veterans far and wide.

ATTENTION All SUNDANCE VETERANS –  please stop by the Activity office today (8:30am-4pm) for a special treat and enter your name into a drawing for a gift.  Please wear your name badge.  Thank you for all you have done for our great country!

The Sundance/Fairways Veterans are hosting a raffle for  awesome, handmade in the USA items. Tickets are 7 for $5 or $1 each and are available in the Activity office. Winners will be announced on Tue. 12/21.  All proceeds go to support Veterans projects like the transitional home in Coolidge and other events.

The US Post Office and our Sundance Mail Room are closed today, 11/11.

TODAY

We will be having and organizational Float meeting at 10am today at the Ranch House Meetin’ Room.  Everyone is invited to bring ideas to the table for a float to represent our Sundance community in the Casa Grande Electric Light Parade on Sat. 12/4. See you there!!

Beginner Pickleball lessons will be at 10am at the courts.  Please wear closed toed shoes and we have all the equipment available at the courts.

Art Barn – Open 9am-12pm and 1-3:34pm for open art.  All forms of art are encouraged to come in for tip sharing, learning, and working on your creative projects.

Gamblin’ Room –  9am Hand Foot & Toe is played.  Pinochle is at 1pm, Dominoes at 6:30pm and Bridge is at 7pm.

Hang Out Room – The room is reserved until 12pm.  At 1pm the Sundance Solos (singles) will meet to discuss their Saturday 11/13 Artsy Yard Tour.  All single women and men are invited to join the meeting and add ideas to our adventures.  Darts will play at 3:30pm and Poker is at 6pm.

Hole in the Wall – 9am Walk Exercise takes the floor.  Couples Pattern Dance is at 10am and Line Dance is at 1:30pm.

Hearing Life will be tomorrow 11/12 at the Ranch House Meetin’ room conducting free screenings. Morning appointment times are filled, although we have afternoon times open. Sign up in the Activity office.

Tickets – JC & Laney will be performing for our first dance of the season this Saturday 11/13 at 7pm at the Hole in the Wall.  Tickets are $10 each, $11 at the door.  Bring your own beverage and snacks or you can purchase water and soda at the dance.  Ice will be available too.  https://www.jcandlaney.com.   A Christmas Carol will be at the Hale Theatre on Sat. 12/11 2pm performance.  Tickets are $44 each.  Sundance Thanksgiving tickets are $10 each.  All tickets can be purchased at the Activity office.

Tag-Alongs – We are taking a tour at Caywood Cotton Farms on Monday 12/6.  Fee is $15 and covers a great presentation on cotton growing and other plants along with a tour of the farm.  Sign up  for Organ Stop Pizza venture for Wednesday 12/8.  We do need a minimum of 15 people for this venue. Cost is $9.50 plus your beverage cost for  pizza, salad and program.  Organ Stop in Mesa AZ.  is home to one of the Wurlitzer pipe organs.  Check it out online to learn more about the vast history.

On Saturday, 11/27 at the Ranch  House Meetin’ Room we will have seated chair massages available. Fee is $10 and appointments can be made at the Activity office.

Starting Monday 11/15 – Senior Stretch will bat at 10:30am in the Hole in the Wall.  At 6:30pm, Jammers will be playing until 8:30pm.

A Bingo meeting will be held at 6:30pm at the Hole in the Wall  on Tuesday 11/16 hosted by Kathy C. for all volunteers or those interested in helping out.

The following rooms have or will have Wednesday evening hours – Ceramics, Lapidary, and Stained Glass. 6-8pm.  Please come on in and learn a new hobby!

Classes – Card Making classes are held on the first and third Fridays of every month at the Ranch House Meetin’ Room. $10 for four cards that you personalize yourself.  Beginner (starts Monday 11/15) and Advanced Beginner/Intermediate Mandala Dot Painting classes are available at the Art Barn and both are $10 which includes all materials.  Sign-up for all classes is required and are located in Activity office.

The Sundance Library located at the Ranch House is taking gently read donations of books and DVD movies too!  Westerns and large print are more than welcome to be donated.
