Another busy week at the park!
Art Barn – Open at 1pm for all painting projects. Oil, Watercolors, and Acrylics are welcome to bring your projects and exchange ideas
On Tuesday at 10am Fiber Art (Spinning) Orientation will be held at 10am. Everyone who is curious on this art form is encourage to come in. Open Art is at 1pm and everyone is welcome to come with their projects.
Gamblin’ Room – Mah Jongg is played at 10am, Bridge is at 1pm and Hand Foot & Toe is at 6:30pm.
Tuesday the Wood Carvers will be there at 9am-12pm, 9:30am Progressive Hand & Foot is played. Samba is at 6:30pm and Pinochle starts at 7pm.
Hang Out has Cactus Needles working on their knitting at 10am and Crafty Ladies are doing their crafts at 1pm. Ping Pong is at 7pm.
Management has the room reserved in the morning on Tuesday and Darts is at 3:30pm. All play levels are invited to join and we do have darts for you to borrow.
Walk Exercise will be in the Hole in the Wall at 9am followed by Senior Stretch at 10:30am. Jammers will be playing at 6:30pm.
Tuesday the Round Up Meeting will be at 8:30am sharp. The Sundance community is invited to enjoy coffee and morning munchies while learning about park news. Line Dance is at 1:30pm
Beginner Origami Class is at the Ranch House Meetin’ Room at 1pm today. Fee is $3.
Tuesday at 1pm Hardanger (Needlework) will meet.
Tai Chi will be held at the Pool 1 Patio at 10am. This is a great exercise to improve balance and stretch.
Gourd Shop has open sessions for everyone to work on their projects this week. Beginner class will start on Monday, 11/29 and sign up is required. Estimated fee is $10-$12 depending on design. Room rate is $1 per day. There are several project choices including, wine barrel vase/planter, garden planter and more! We will show you how to cut, clean, sand, and wood burn before you start decorating your project.
Water Volleyball is played Monday, Wednesday and Friday 1-3pm at Pool 2. Join us for some great play and laughter too.
Shuffleboard will be played today at 9:30am. Fee is 50 cents for the day. All levels of play are invited and we happy to teach you and also how to maintain the boards.
Let’s all support our Sundance/Fairways Veterans by purchasing raffle tickets for beautifully made in the USA items. Tickets are $5 for 7 or $1 each. Winners will be announced on Tuesday, 12/21. Check out the beautiful display of prizes in Activities.
To contribute to recycling, you can take your aluminum cans, tabs attached to site 171 in Sundance 1. Rinsed and crushed is preferred and place in the container. All proceeds are d donated to the Veterans. #1 plastic (water bottles) are being collected at site #19 in Sundance 2. All proceeds will benefit the Humane Society.
The 35th Annual Casa Grande Toy Parade and Auction will be coming up on Sunday, 12/5 with sign up starting at 10am at Dave White Park. The parade will leave at 12pm and travel down Thronton Road and end at The Property at 1281 West Gila Bend Highway for lunch buffet, live auction and music. Everyone is welcome to come. The Punishers Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club Desert Central Chapter will be participating in this event. Bill Ames, who is president of the Chapter and lives here at Sundance will have his group ride through Sundance and encourages everyone to join. They will begin around 9am entering through the Main Gate, down Duke Blvd., right on Newman, left on Ritter, left on Maverick, left on Tonto ending at site 452 on Tonto. If you would like to contribute toys to the ride, please bring unwrapped toys (no stuffed animals) to site 564 on Newman beginning Saturday, 11/27 through Friday, 12/3. Everything donated will be distributed by the Casa Grande Salvation Army. We hope you will line the parade route or donate to this great event. There is a flyer on our Community Board in Activities. Last year, in 3 days, Sundance donated enough toys to fill an SUV two times. Let’s see what we can do this year!
The Angel Tree is up in Activities and there are very few Angels left. You are not obligated to buy everything on their list, in fact, save some things for others to buy.
The Sundance Food Box is available to anyone who would like to donate boxed or canned goods. They will be taken to the local food pantry.
Are you a hiker? If so, there are several in the park and we would like to get a Coordinator for this group to organize hikes. If you are interested, stop by Activities!
The Sundance Mustangs will play on Tuesday, 11/12 at 11:30am at the Palm Creek field against the Fiesta Grande Scorpions.
Rzr Riders will ridedTuesday, 11/23 and meet at the McDonald’s in Florence at 8:30am. We hope you will join us!
