Is Everybody Ready for our Annual Western Days? The Activity Office, kitchen, and all our volunteers are prepared to give you a fantastic day of games, lunch, music and laughter tomorrow, March 10. Come early and watch the fast walk relay at 8:30am (walkers – please arrive at 8am).
Lunch will be hamburgers or hot dogs with chips, lemonade and iced tea.

To our wonderful volunteers – Be sure to attend the luncheon in your honor on Wednesday, Mar 14 at the time of your seating. Remember your tickets for either 11:30 or 12:30. See you there.
The final VIP day for Sundance 1 RV at Dillard’s is this Thursday, March 15 at 9:30. Just meet at the store and enjoy a continental breakfast, fashion show, door prizes and discounts.
Has your state had its potluck yet? If not, our “Misfit States” potluck is scheduled for this Friday, March 16 from 4-6pm in the Hole in the Wall. Please bring a dish to share, your table service and your beverage of choice.

St Patrick’s Day Irish Stew dinner tickets are available in the Activities Office. Dinner is at 4pm in the Hole in the Wall. Tickets are only $7 per person.
Debbie and Double Eagle Band is coming back for an encore performance on Saturday, March 17 from 7-10pm in the Hole in the Wall. Tickets are $8 in advance and $9 at the door.
We’re having our first annual St Patrick’s Parade!! Come join us for a fun ride through the park at 2pm on March 17. We’ll be lining up in front of the Activities Office. Let’s decorate our carts, bikes, selves, etc., and enjoy this GREEN PARADE!!! If questions, please contact Terry at site # 579.

At the recent blood drive, 22 lifesaving donors stepped up to donate, resulting in 20 procedures for our community and reaching 125% of our blood drive goal. Thank you Sundance!!
Be sure to attend the Koffee Klatch this Monday, March 12 at 8:30am in the Hole in the Wall as the new managers, Mike & Jan Gabbard will be in attendance. Let’s give them a big Sundance Welcome.

I have egg on my face. I was just told that Sundance 1 has another retiring employee in our midst. In addition to the open house on March 30 for Judy, John, and Gary, we are now including our good friend, neighbor, and super salesman Wayne Larsen. Please join us and wish all four the best in their future travels.
Arizona Group Travel – For those of you taking the Saguaro Lake Cruise on Sunday, Mar 11, we will be boarding the bus in front of the Activity Office at 12:15pm. See you there.

The Windows 10 Class has been scheduled for March 24 from 10am to Noon in the Gambling Room. The sign up sheet has been posted in the Activities Office.
Attention Singles: We’re planning a Tag-a-Long to Mi Amigo’s Restaurant for lunch on Sunday, March 18. We’ll meet in front of the Activity Office at noon. Games will follow in the Hang Out Room till 6pm. All singles are welcome! Please sign up in the Activities Office.
The Paramount Theatre in old town Casa Grande has 2 upcoming shows you may be interested in attending. This Sunday, March 11, there will be a country music show at 3pm. Group tickets are $20 each. On Friday, March 23 at 7pm is the Gabriel Ayala Ensemble with his JazzMenco style of guitar. Tickets are $20 each – group ticket prices have yet to be announced. Tickets for both performances are available in the Activities Office.
CACTUS NEEDLES – Our meeting on Monday, March 12th will be at Angie’s house, Site 459. This season we have donated 450 handmade items to local charities, an orphanage in South Africa, and in support of an Eagle Scout project for a neonatal unit. These women are incredibly talented with their knitting needles and crochet hooks and so generous with their time. WELL DONE!!
2018 Angel Tree –
Just a reminder: When you stay in hotels, go to dentists, etc., and you get soap, lotion, shower caps, tooth brushes, paste and floss that you won’t use, please bring back next fall so we can make up stocking stuffers for the Seeds of Hope children for next years angel tree. Many Thanks…

Sundance 1 Church services are each Sunday at 8:30am in the Hole in the Wall. This non-denominational service is presided by Pastor Scott Bailey. If you’d like to join our choir, practice is at 8am.

Hiking – On Wednesday, Mar 14th we will hike the Douglas Spring, Bridal Wreath Falls, Three Tank, Garwood Loop near Tanque Verde in Saguaro National Park. We will meet in front of Activities and leave at 7am. Travel time to get there is 1 hour 44 minutes so it will be an all day adventure. It is 7.1 miles; 1275 foot elevation and rated moderate. Bring plenty of water; wear sunscreen and hiking footwear. For more information, contact Deb Johnson in 684.
Quality Custom Travel.. With the departure of AZ Travel Co, we have a new travel company starting up to fill the void. Mike Fair and Joyce Gerdes, with the help of CG Chamber of Commerce, have started Quality Custom Travel here in the park. In addition to several overnight trips, they will be focusing on day trips and tours to fill your interests. You may obtain additional information at the Activities Office or phone them at 520-820-8665. They are looking for suggestions on trips and dates for the 2018/2019 season.
