Sundance Elections ~ Monday March 5th

The town council of Sundance RV Park is an elected group of 7 members formed to be the liaison between the paying residents of the park and the Sundance RV 1 Park management.  They meet November through March, with the park management, hearing what is new for the park and sharing thoughts and requests they have received from fellow residents.  There is not one particular person who represents a particular organization or personal agenda but rather each member works for the good of the entire park.

This year we have 8 candidates running for 5 open positions.  They are Erick Ayres, Betty Bougsty, Deb Gonzalez, George Jueckstock, Sharon Olivo, Ron Swanigan, Terry Turner and Alan Wallbank.  The top vote getter will receive a 3 year term, the next 4 will represent you for 2 years and the person receiving the 6th most votes will be considered an alternate to serve if someone cannot fulfill a term.  You will have an opportunity to meet the candidates and learn a little about them at Mondays morning meeting, March 5th at 8:30 in the hole in the wall.

Our election will be this Monday, March 5th from 9:15 until noon, in the hangout room.  To vote a resident must pay rent to Sundance 1 RV Resort for a minimum of three months and reside in the park on the day elections are held. If you are unable to make it to the hangout room on Monday there will be absentee ballots available on Saturday, March 3rd, from 10 to 3 at sites 257 and 439.

Our Weight Watchers leader announced that the last meeting of the 12 week session is Mar 7. If there are 15 people who would like to continue thru end of Mar or early April, the weekly sessions may continue for $104 for 8 weeks but you need to attend the Mar 7 meeting to sign up and commit.  On a happy note, it was announced that the group has lost 182.5 pounds!!

I ordered 2000 lbs. of Chinese soup. It was Won Ton.
