Shuffleboard Potluck – Monday from 12:30-3pm in the Hole in the Wall – Please join us with your table service, beverage & dish to share.

This is a show you don’t want to miss!!  The nationally known bluegrass band, the Monroe Crossing, will be at Sundance this Wednesday, February 27, at 7pm in the Hole in the Wall.  Tickets are available in advance in the Activities Office for $20 or at the door for $22.  Doors will open at 6:30pm.

The Sundance 1 RV Church will be having its annual toy drive through the month of February.  All toys will be donated to the Casa Grande Banner Hospital.  You may drop them off in our bin in the Activities Office, or bring them to site #445 or to church on Sundays.  Your donations will make a child very happy while they are in the hospital.  We thank you very much.

Water Volleyball –  It is bound to warm up sooner or later! When it does, please join us to play water volleyball in the new northend pool on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 1pm.

The Sundance Town Council is pleased to announce the following candidates for their two empty positions:  Julie Aho, Darcus Arnold, Carol Berg, Lynda Nichols and Gerald Smith.  They will be at the Monday morning meeting on Feb 25th to tell you a little about themselves.  Come meet them and then plan on voting on March 3rd.

Upcoming March Events from the Activities Office:

 Ice Cream Social – Mark your calendars for Sunday, March 3, 2019 at 2pm in the Hole in the Wall.  The Activities Staff and Float Volunteers will be serving up banana splits for $4 each.  All proceeds will be used to build and decorate next years Christmas float for the Electric Light Parade.

Variety Show – This is another annual Sundance show brought to you by your talented neighbors.  We sing, tell stories, play our instruments and anything else we can think of to entertain you!  This year’s program is on March 6 at 7pm with only a $1 admission.  Hope to see you there!

Western Days – Unless you’re new to Sundance or have been under a rock, you’ll remember what this day is all about! This is an all-resident/all-day affair filled with games, food, music and laughter.  Games begin at 9am and don’t finish until 4pm on Saturday, March 9.  We’ve even added a new event this year.  Sign up sheets for the games and to volunteer are posted in the Activity Office waiting for your name!  Questions – just ask us in Activities!!!  Remember to wear your name badge to this event.

Volunteer Luncheons for our wonderful volunteers are scheduled for March 13 at 11:30 and 12:30pm in the Hole in the Wall.  Sundance RV couldn’t remain as successful without all of you willing to step up to the plate!   Remember to return your letter to Activities and receive your ticket.  We must have a headcount for the 2 Old Dudes by Monday, March 4.

The Activity Office is in need of 10 coffee cans with lids.  If you have one we could have, please drop it off in our office.

As requested, reserved seating for 23 people has been arranged at the Hale Theater to see “Big River”.  The date of the performance is Wednesday, April 10, 2019, for a 7pm show.  The seats are on the north side of the theater in the top two rows (J and H).  Two of the seats are handicap accessible and there is an elevator to use along with a family restroom.  Tickets are $24 each as usual.  The sign up sheet will be available on Mar 4 with all money due Mar 22.

Windows 10 Class – There will be 2 Windows 10 classes to be held on March 2 and March 9 from 8-11am in the Computer Lab.  Sign up sheets for both dates are posted in the Activities Office.

Beginner Genealogy – will meet Feb 27 at 10am in the Gambling Room.  Everyone is welcome.  Please bring your laptops or tablets for looking information up.  Please bring $1 for computer access.  If you are an experienced Genealogist and would like to help our beginners, it would be appreciated.

Couples Dance Classes – If you ever wanted to learn how to Cha Cha, this is your chance.  We start a 3- week introduction to lead and follow Cha Cha on Tuesday, Feb 26.  Class is in the Hole in the Wall from 10-11:30am and you do need a partner.

(Pattern Dance will continue on Thursdays starting Feb 28.)

Country Store – March 1 is the last Country Store for this season. The store hours are open until 12:30pm. Lunch will be available at 11:00am.  Now is the time to shop as the next Country Store isn’t until the first Friday in November, 2019.

Attention Wisconsinites: – The Wisconsin potluck will be held on Wednesday, Feb 27th from 4:30-6:00pm in the Hole in the Wall.  Please bring a dish to share, your own table service and beverage.  Sign-up sheet available in Activities Office.  We look forward to getting together with our Wisconsin friends, old and new!

Woodshop Update – We want to keep those of you informed who are interested in a woodshop.  Further discussion and meetings are on hold until management makes a decision on the building.  We will definitely let you know as soon as we do.

The cast and crew of the Dessert Theater would like to thank everyone who attended our performances.  A lot of time and effort goes into preparing for these presentations and without the support of all of you, it would be a wasted effort.  We hope you enjoyed the play.  We know you enjoyed the dessert!!  Hopefully we’ll see you next year.

  7. NEXT SEASON Coming Up already.  How about  Thanksgiving in San Diego –   3 N 4D.  Nov 19-22, 2019.  $995pp.
