Elvis is in the House!! On Wednesday, Feb 7pm at 7pm in the Hole in the Wall.  Please come and enjoy Danny Vernon as he entertains us.  Tickets are available in Activities for $9 in advance and $10 at the door.  Invite your friends – this is open to the public!

Reminder – The annual Softball Brat Dinner is Thursday, Feb 8 in the Hole in the Wall at 5pm.  Be ready for a super evening of food, fun, and laughter!

All-park Happy Hour and Karaoke is Friday, Feb 9 from 4-7 at the pool patio.  Just bring your beverage of choice, munchies to share and your singing voice!  Sounds like the weather will be perfect for this outdoor venue!

At your request, the Casa Grande Fire Department will be here on Friday, Feb 9 at 1:30 pm in the Hole in the Wall to show us how to use the AED equipment.

Have you gotten your Valentine’s Dinner Show tickets yet?  On Feb 14, at 5:00pm in the Hole in the Wall, we’ll be having a delicious chicken cordon bleu dinner with all the trimmings and then be entertained by the ever so popular Brad Fitch.  Tickets are only $16 each and are available in the Activity Office.  Hope to see you there!

The Activity Office has a new goal!  Please help us eliminate paper copies of the Friday Flyers.  To have them delivered right to your computer or phone, just stop by the office and we’ll be happy to add your name to our electronic mailing system.  Of course, we’ll have paper copies in the office for your convenience as well. With your help, this could be effective next season!

Tickets to the Hale Theatre are now available in the Activity Office.  The No, No, Nanette performance is on Wednesday, Feb 28 at 7:00pm. Tickets are $24 each for the group price and 40 seats have been reserved.    You must sign up before Feb 10 as the total money must be submitted before Feb 14.

Tickets for the Dessert Theatre will be available on Tuesday, Feb 6 at 8:30am in the Activity Office.  Please be prepared to let us know which evening you want to attend – Tues, Wed, or Thursday, Feb 20, 21, or 22.  Tickets are $6 each.

50’s Rockabilly Show is Friday, Feb 16, at 6:30pm in the Hole in the Wall.  You will not want to miss this rockin and boppin show put on by Sundance’s own Electric Jammers.

Those that arrive in 50’s attire will be given VIP seating up front so start planning what you are going to wear now.  We will have an intermission that will allow you to show off your Cool Cat 5’ look.  If you are dressing up, please sign up in Activities so we can reserve your seat.

A $1 donation at the door to help purchase sound equipment is appreciated.

Mark your Calendar and find the hero in you.  Did you know you can give blood 3 times a year?  Our next Blood Drive sponsored by the United Blood Services is scheduled for Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 8am to noon in the Gamblin’ Room.  Please sign up in the Activities Office.

The next Computer Club meeting will be held Wednesday, Feb 7 from 9-10am in the Hang Out Room.  Everyone is welcome and we hope to see you there.

Sundance Softball Games for the upcoming week:

Wednesday, Feb 7 at 10:15am, 11:30am, 12:45pm & 2:00pm

These games will be played on the Palm Creek Ballfield. Come have lunch and enjoy a full day of fun in the sun.

The Iowa Potluck is Sunday, Feb 11th.  It will be held in the Hole in the Wall from 4-6pm.  Bring your favorite potluck dish, your own table service (plates, silverware, napkins) and a cold beverage.  Coffee will be served.  Wear your name badge so new Iowans can get acquainted more easily.  We are excited to see our old Iowan friends and meet new ones!

Volunteers Needed – Please consider helping the Activity Office by volunteering to put up and take down table and chairs for the upcoming events.  The sign up sheet is in the office.  Thank you so much.

A bench has been placed in the Memorial Garden Dog Park, in memory of Gene Wolden, a WWII Veteran who lived at Sundance from 2000-2016.  This gift was given by his family, Jan & Ron Anderson and Steve & Dennie Shepard.

The Sundance 1 RV Resort Church will be holding our annual toy drive for the children’s wing at Banner Hospital through the month of February.  Please help us put a smile on a child’s face.  You may drop your toy donations in our tub in the Activity Office or bring to church on Sunday, and you may also drop them off at site #445.  Thank you.

Sundance 1 Genealogy Club will meet Wednesday, Feb 7 at 10am in the Gamblin’ room.  Class will be on immigration and naturalization records.  Lynn Olson will conduct the class.  Anyone interested in researching their roots are more than welcome to attend.  Looking forward to seeing you.

The public is invited to the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the New Community Recreation Center on Monday, Feb 12 from 10-11:30am located at 1900 N Peart Rd between Kortsen and Cottonwood Lane. Reservation deadline is Feb 9.  For more information, contact the Activity Office.

Sundance 1 Church services are each Sunday at 8:30am in the Hole in the Wall.  This non-denominational service is presided by Pastor Scott Bailey.  If you’d like to join our choir, practice is at 8am.

Last year I joined a support group for procrastinators.  We haven’t met yet.
