Koffee Klatch – Monday, Feb 4 at 8:30am in the Hole in the Wall. Everyone is welcome to join us for coffee and donuts and hear what’s happening in the park.

Reminder: Sundance 1 and 2 are scent free resorts. Many residents are scent sensitive and the wearing of perfumes, colognes, etc., can irritate and aggravate allergies, asthma and headaches. Please be thoughtful of others and refrain from wearing fragrances while in the common areas of the resort. Thank you!

Do not panic!! Our web designer will be in both Sundance 1 and 2 next week updating our website with new pictures and designs. He will be using a “drone” to take aerial shots of both parks. If you see a strange object in the sky, it will only be taking photos for our website. No one’s privacy will be invaded. But…”smile”….you may be on candid camera!

Karaoke is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb 13, 2019 in the Hole in the Wall from 6-8pm. Thousands of songs for you to choose from by Virgil. Feel free to bring your beverage of choice and your talent – we’re waiting to hear you! $5 tickets in advance or at the door.

Sundance Town Council is looking for 2 new members. If you are invested in our park and want to keep our Park the #1 Park in Casa Grande, please consider becoming a Town Council member.
Appointment to Council is for a two-year term. Members must be onsite to attend meetings November through March. Additional qualifications are on the applications, available in the Activities Office,

There will be designated parking areas for vehicles and carts, as some streets will be closed to all motorized vehicles. The main information center will be located at #5. All Sundance 1 residents are welcome.

The Sundance 1 RV Church will be having its annual toy drive through the month of February. All toys will be donated to the Casa Grande Banner Hospital. You may drop them off in our bin in the Activities Office, or bring them to site #445 or to church on Sundays. Your donations will make a child very happy while they are in the hospital. We thank you very much.

Our Valentine’s dinner show is Feb 14, 2019 at 5pm in the Hole in the Wall followed by the Neil Diamond Tribute at 6:30pm. Tickets are $25 per person for the dinner and show and are available in the Activities Office.

The Iowa Potluck is Sunday, Feb 10th. We will be in the Hole in the Wall from 4-6pm. Bring your favorite potluck dish. Be sure to wear your name badge so new Iowan’s can get acquainted more easily. Bring your own table service (plates, silverware, napkins, etc.) and a cold beverage. Coffee will be available. Please come and get to know our new Iowan residents.

To All Michiganders! – Geez – has the time flown by?! Come join in on the fun, food and Michigan friendship. Our very own Pot Luck will be February 12th, from 4-6:30pm at the Hole in the Wall. Attention Minnesotans!! Our annual potluck is Sunday, Feb 17 from 1-3pm, in the Hole in the Wall. Please remember to bring your own table service, beverage and a dish to pass. The sign up sheet is in the Activity Office for all those interested. Hope to see you there.

Genealogy will meet Feb 6 at 10am in the Gambling Room. Larry Bowling will give a presentation on getting organized. Everyone is welcome.
Baerbel Johnson is coming to Eloy and will be staying with Sandra Ristow. Baerbel will give a presentation in German Research at the Robson Genealogy Club on Tuesday, Feb 5, at 7pm. The meeting will be held at the Sport Club on Robson Blvd. All are invited to come and listen. If you have further questions, Sandra’s email is: Ristow@turbonet.com

Shuffleboarders – Shuffleboard scheduled play is at 9:30am on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Everyone is welcome. If you don’t know how to play, come out we will teach you. Tuesdays are for bowling pin shuffle – a hoot’n and hollering good time.
Annual shuffleboard tournament begins Monday Feb 18th. Further details will be announced.

Pris Hardin is offering another Calligraphy 4-week class beginning Feb 10 from 10-noon for each consecutive Sunday in the HangOut Room. Cost of the class is $20. The signup sheet is posted in the Activities Office.

We are sad to report the passing of Don Plummer this past week. Your Sundance family will miss you. RIP

Cribbage lessons are being offered in the Gambling Room on Feb 9 at 1pm and Feb 16 at 10am. Everyone is invited to learn this fun card game!

During the month of February, Cactus Needles will be knitting and crocheting preemie hats for the American heart Association. We meet on Monday mornings at 10am in the Hangout Room. Bring your own needles – we have red yard and patterns for this special project.

Softball games for next week are on Thursday, Feb 7 at 9am and 10:15am at the Palm Creek ball field. Come cheer for Sundance!

The Sundance Musical Review will host their second annual Rock and Roll show Friday night, Feb 8, at 7pm in the Hole in the Wall. Please come prepared to sing along to Rock and Roll songs that you all know. As always, a $1 donation is appreciated but not required.
Our Boot Scootin’ Boogie show has been moved to Friday, March 15.

Save the Date! Sundance Quilt & Fabric Arts Show Feb 23
The Annual Quilting and Fabric Arts Show highlighting the talents of quilters at Sundance and our sister park Fairways will be held on Saturday, Feb 23 from 9am to 3pm in the Hole in the Wall. Over 300 quilted items will be featured in the show this year including Charity Quilts and Friendship Quilts that will be displayed on the fence surrounding the pool.
There will be a beautiful opportunity quilt called Pinwheel Flowers in light taupe, greens, rusty red, and blues. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5. Winner need not be present to win.
A new feature this year is Quick Draw McGraw. Over 50 unique hand-crafted items and gift certificates will be available for this event in the Hangout Room. Tickets are also $1 or six for $5. “Bidders” put their tickets in the container corresponding to the item they hope to win. Winning tickets will be drawn at the end of the show and winners called.
Looking at so many beautiful quilted items can be exhausting, so plan on resting a while and enjoy lunch and beverages for sale from 11am to 1pm poolside at Sundance 1. This years’ menu, provided by 2 Old Dudes Catering, will be a choice of BBQ shredded chicken sandwich or pulled pork sandwich with macaroni salad, a homemade cookie and choice of lemonade or iced tea for $8l Bottled water or soda will also be available for $1.

It is slowly approaching the end of the 2018/2019 winter season. If you want to reserve your same site for next season, it is time to do so.
On February 1, the registration office begins accepting rv annual residents deposits for their current site. Reservations must be for 3 months or more.
The office is open to serve you Monday through Friday from 9-4pm.
