Tomorrow: (11-10-18) Dance the evening away with the Vintage Gold Band from 7-10pm in the Hole in the Wall. Tickets are $9 in advance and $10 at the door. The public is invited.

Sunday: (11-11-18) Please join us for our Veteran’s Day Program at 10:30am in the Hole in the Wall. We’ll begin with the presentation of colors followed by the movie, “Windtalkers” about the Navaho code talkers in WWII. Afterwards, we’ll enjoy fellowship and lunch provided by the 2 Old Dudes. Tickets for lunch are available in the Activities Office.

Monday (11-12-18)– Koffee Klatch – The 2 Old Dudes will be providing breakfast from 7-8am in the Hole in the Wall. At 8:30 we’ll have our park informational meeting along with the 50/50 drawing and door prizes. Our guest speaker is from Wellspring regarding their health screening program. Breakfast will then resume after the meeting. Everyone is welcome.

On Wednesday, Nov 14, at 2pm in the Hole in the Wall – We’re pleased to have Sue Kulak in our park to explain the Medicare options available to you. You’ll not want to miss this program!

Wildman Phil is returning to Sundance on Nov 14, 2018 at 7pm! If you’re interested in Arizona, it’s climate and critters, you’ll want to hear this humorist and educator. He may even bring his 3 legged tortoise, Stumpy! Tickets are available in Activities for $6 or at the door for $7.

We need your help! Please consider volunteering to help with our Christmas Float. We will begin decorating Nov 14, 2018 @ 1pm in Site #226.

We are sad to report the recent death of our good Sundance friend and horseshoes leader, Don Ebbinga. Our sincere condolences are extended to Donna Bertrand and their families.

The Sundance 1 Town Council resumes meetings this month. It is our job to act as a liaison between the residents of the park and the park management. If you have any concerns, please contact a member of the council or leave a signed comment in the Town Council box located on the side counter in the Activities Office. Members of the council are: Julie Aho, Erick Ayres, Deb Gonzalez, George Jueckstock, Alice Neuok, Ron Swanigan and Alan Wallbank.

The Sundance 1 RV Church meets each Sunday morning at 8:30am in the Hole in the Wall. Please join us for this nondenominational service with Pastor Scott Bailey. Communion services are held the first Sunday of each month. If you enjoy singing, please join Marcia and the choir at 8:00 am for practice each Sunday morning. OUR VISION: GLORIFY GOD, SHARE HIS JOY, MEET HUMAN NEEDS.

Our annual Thanksgiving Potluck is Nov 22 at 4pm in the Hole in the Wall. The table sign-up sheets are now available in the Activities Office. We have a limit of 240 due to fire dept regulations. So sign up early!

The Dillard’s VIP day for Sundance is Thursday, Nov 29 at 9:30am at the store. Come to Activities to sign up and then enjoy their continental breakfast, door prizes and discounts. This is always a fun excursion!

Shuffleboard is up and ready for play thanks to all the help that showed up to clean. It was a mess. Scheduled play is:
Monday-Wednesday-Friday at 9:30am.
We will start Bowling pin shuffle on Tuesday at 9:30am soon. Everyone is welcome to play. Want to learn? Just show up and we’ll teach you!

Lapidary – The shop will have a monitor on Tuesdays from now till Dec 11 from (9am to 3:30pm. As other monitors arrive, the days and hours will be expanded. A sign will be posted on the lapidary door indicating hours of operation. Stop by and check us out!

Horseshoes – The horseshoe group meets at 9am with games starting at 9:15am. Please join us on Monday, Wednesday & Fridays at the pits in the sports area. Games are 25 cents and we play for fun. Questions? See Norm at #59

Softball – Our park is known for its cheering section. Everyone is welcome to watch and root for Sundance! This weeks games are on Tuesday, Nov 13 at 10:45am, Thursday, Nov 15 at Noon and Friday, Nov 16 at 1:15pm. All games are played on the Palm Creek Softball field. Mark your calendar!

Fairways Patio Sale is this Saturday, Nov 10, from 8-Noon. Help support our sister park!

Country Store – Thank you to all the vendors who participated. We had a great turnout. A special thanks to each and every volunteer from set up to phone calls to everything in between to clean up. It can’t be successful without you.

Ladies – Did you know that each Friday is Ladies Day in the Pool Room? If your interested in playing pool (no experience required), please sign up in the Activities Office and we’ll do the rest!

Time to start gathering you unwanted items and prepare for our Patio Sale on Dec 8 from 8-Noon!

Beginners Genealogy will meet Nov 14 at 10am in the Gambling Room. Everyone is welcome to come. The first meeting you do not have to bring a laptop or tablet. We look forward to meeting you!

Hardanger – We meet every Tuesday in the Gambling Room from 1-3. This is Norwegian cut work – Come and see us. We’d be happy to get you started.

Our Computer Room is now open for your use Monday thru Friday from 9am to Noon. As more monitors arrive, we’ll expand the hours.

Weight Watchers – The sign up sheet has been posted in Activities. In order for classes to begin, we need at least 15 residents interested in attending. Tentatively, we’ll have the enrollment day on Wed., Dec 5 with classes beginning on Dec 12. Again, we’ll meet in the Gambling Room each Wednesday at 8:00am with Leonette.
