Koffee Klatch will resume on Jan 7 and each Monday morning thereafter at 8:30am in the Hole in the Wall. Everyone is welcome to join us for coffee and hear what’s happening in the park. Donuts are available too.

Attention: All ladies who volunteered to be in our fashion show on January 18, 2019……I’ve scheduled a short meeting for us on Monday, January 7 at 9:00ish after the Koffee Klatch in the Hole in the Wall. This is a special fashion show with emphasis on women cancer survivors. Thanks gals for stepping up to the plate and strutting your stuff!

Reminder – A Good Sam Rally will be at our resort on Wed, Jan 9, Thursday, Jan 10 and the morning of Friday Jan 11 in the Hang Out Room. Our park activities will not be held in that room for those dates.

Magician Show – This show has spectacular recommendations from area parks. This should be a “must see” show on Wednesday, Jan 9, 2019 at 7pm in the Hole in the Wall. Tickets are $10 in advance in the Activities Office or $11 at the door. The public is welcome. Bring your friends and family!

February Smoke Signal articles are due in the Activities Office before Jan 20, 2019.

You asked and we answered! Karaoke is scheduled for Friday, January 4 from 6-8pm in the Hole in the Wall. Tickets are $5 each and are available in advance in the Activities Office or at the door. Virgil Heady, a professional dj will be here to keep us busy. Please join us and bring your beverage of choice with munchies if you wish. We’ll see you there!

The annual Welcome Back event will be held on Saturday, January 5 from 11am to 1pm in the Hole in the Wall. Come meet the folks who represent their activities in our park. Chat with them and see if you’d be interested in their group. This is a great way to meet new people and join in our fun!

Saguaro Sunset Band will be entertaining us on Saturday, January 5 from 7-10 in the Hole in the Wall. Tickets are on sale in the Activities Office for $9 in advance or $10 at the door. FYI – they place a great variety of music for everyone to enjoy!

The Sundance 1 RV Resort Church meets each Sunday morning at 8:30 in the Hole in the Wall. Please join us for this nondenominational service with Pastor Scott Bailey. Communion services are held the first Sunday of each month. If you enjoy singing, please join Marcia and the choir at 8:00am for practice each Sunday morning.

Genealogy – Beginner Genealogy will meet Jan 9 at 10am in the Gambling Room – everyone is welcome. Please bring your lap tops or Ipads for research.
Please bring $1 for computer access. If you are an experienced Genealogist and would like to help our Beginners, it would be appreciated. We still have a few openings for our field trip Saturday, Jan 12, if interested. Please sign up at our meeting.

This is available to the public with a registration fee: The Annual Genealogy Workshop presented by Pinal County Genealogists is on Saturday, Jan 26, 2019 at the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The Sundance Musical Review (Electrified Musicians) will host the Grande Old Opry and Variety Show on Friday, January 11 at 7:00pm in the Hole in the Wall. Please join us for a great night of music and comedy. As always, a $1 donation is appreciated but not required.

Pinochle Classes – Would you like to learn to play pinochle or just need a refresher with park rules? Lessons will be offered on Saturdays, January 12 and 17 from 10 to noon in the Gambling Room. We will start the first session with an explanation of the rules and then spend the rest of that day and the next week playing with experienced players and honing your skills. Please sign up in Activities so we know how many “helpers” we’ll need.

Do you want to be in better shape? If you do, why not join us on Mondays and Wednesdays at 10:30am in the Hole in the Wall? This workout is primarily chair exercise and we have a number of men and women who enjoy them and come faithfully. Senior Stretch is a fun and healthy workout. Please join us!

Please, oh please, do not leave your cigarette butts on the ground. Sundance 1 is noted for their friendliness and cleanliness. Let’s continue to keep it that way.

Colorado/Nebraska Potluck – January 19th at 11:30am. The sign up sheet is posted in the Activities Office for this fun potluck. This year we will also need individuals to sign up to bring meat as well as side dishes. Denise, who has done an outstanding job in the past, won’t be here. We need everyone to sign up, show up and eat up

Cactus Needles – You are invited to join our knitting/crocheting group here at Sundance. We meet on Monday mornings at 10am in the Hangout Room (except for January 14th). We work on hats, slippers, gloves, blankets, and teddy bears for local charities in the Casa Grande area. You have the option of choosing your project and the charity you want it to go to. Currently we donate to Foster Care and a local homeless shelter. Bring your ideas and join us!
